Apparently, the PSPgo is going to be having a little bit more to download to it than games. According to Kotaku who did an interview with CNET, Sony's Al De Leon has stated the following.
One thing we did announce at E3 was a significant reduction in the price of development tools for PSP. The goal with that is to enable all sorts of developers to be able to develop content for the PSP. It will be mostly games, but there's certainly an opportunity to look at some non-gaming applications.
Sounds like a good idea to me, especially since apple app store is doing very well and is easy to use. Lets hope they take a page from their downloadable book.
